Ingredients:

  • 29 oz canned sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Pour the entire can of sliced peaches and the heavy syrup into the prepared baking dish, spreading them into an even layer.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the peaches. Use the back of a spoon to gently flatten the powder into a smooth surface without stirring it into the fruit.
  4. Slowly pour the melted salted butter over the cake mix, using a spoon to gently nudge the butter into any remaining dry patches.
  5. Bake on the center rack for 45 to 50 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the top is a deep golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the cobbler rest for 10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken before serving.
