Ingredients:
- 1 lb Cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme
- 0.25 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove debris without adding excess moisture. Halve any very large mushrooms to ensure uniform cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the mushrooms with avocado oil until thoroughly and evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the mushrooms in the basket in a single layer, ensuring space between pieces for optimal air circulation.
- Air fry for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning and dehydration.
- While mushrooms cook, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper and soy sauce in a small bowl.
- Open the air fryer, pour the garlic butter mixture over the mushrooms, and toss with silicone tongs to coat. Cook for an additional 4 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and edges are crispy.
