Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.25 tsp sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove debris without adding excess moisture. Halve any very large mushrooms to ensure uniform cooking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the mushrooms with avocado oil until thoroughly and evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the mushrooms in the basket in a single layer, ensuring space between pieces for optimal air circulation.
  4. Air fry for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning and dehydration.
  5. While mushrooms cook, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper and soy sauce in a small bowl.
  6. Open the air fryer, pour the garlic butter mixture over the mushrooms, and toss with silicone tongs to coat. Cook for an additional 4 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and edges are crispy.
