Ingredients:

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch pan with butter or non stick spray.
  2. Empty 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 1 tsp pure vanilla extract to the dry mix.
  4. Crack 2 large eggs into the bowl.
  5. Stir the mixture with a spatula until a thick, glossy batter forms.
  6. Fold in 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp sea salt gently.
  7. Spread the batter into your prepared pan using the back of a spoon to level it.
  8. Bake for 22 minutes until the edges are firm and the top is crackly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan.
