Ingredients:
- 2 cans (29 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the undrained peaches and their syrup into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the fruit, using a spatula to gently swirl the cinnamon into the syrup.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the peaches and lightly press the powder down with the back of a spoon to ensure no large hills of flour remain.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the entire surface of the cake mix, ensuring total coverage to avoid dry spots.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is mahogany-colored and the peach juices are bubbling vigorously around the edges.
