Ingredients:
- 6 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chilled and cubed unsalted butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt until evenly coated.
- Transfer the peach mixture into a 9x9 inch baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the chilled, cubed butter to the oat mixture. Use a pastry cutter or fork to work the butter in until the texture resembles coarse crumbs with pea-sized lumps.
- Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches without pressing it down.
- Bake on the center rack for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is deep golden brown and juices are bubbling around the edges.
- Let the crisp rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to set.
