Ingredients:
- 1 lb refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 60 slices turkey pepperoni
- 1 cup part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup low-sodium marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 12 leaves fresh basil
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a standard 12-slot muffin tin with non-stick spray.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a large 12x18 inch rectangle. Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough vertically into 12 even strips, each approximately 1 inch wide.
- Brush a thin layer of marinara sauce down the center of each dough strip. Sprinkle evenly with a small amount of mozzarella cheese.
- Lay 5 turkey pepperoni slices along the top edge of each strip, overlapping them slightly so the top half of the pepperoni hangs over the dough edge.
- Fold the bottom half of the dough strip upwards to cover the bottom half of the pepperoni. Carefully roll the strip from one end to the other to create a spiral rose shape.
- Place each roll into the prepared muffin tin slots. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes until the edges are crisp and the cheese is bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil.
