Ingredients:
- 4 large Granny Smith Apples (approx. 700g), chilled
- 1 medium Lemon (approx. 50g), peeled
- 1 inch Fresh Ginger (approx. 10g)
- 1/4 cup Cold Filtered Water
- 1 tsp Raw Honey (approx. 7g)
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
Instructions:
- Wash the 4 large Granny Smith apples thoroughly. Note: Wax on store-bought apples can clog fine juicer screens.
- Core the apples and slice into wedges that fit your juicer's chute.
- Peel the medium lemon completely, removing as much white pith as possible to avoid a chalky taste.
- Scrub the 1 inch of ginger, but leave the skin on for extra nutrients.
- Process the apple wedges through the juicer, alternating with the ginger and lemon pieces until all pulp is dry.
- Whisk the 1 tsp raw honey, 1 pinch sea salt, and 1/4 cup cold filtered water in a small glass until the honey dissolves.
- Combine the honey water mixture with the fresh juice. Note: Adding the honey to the water first prevents it from sticking to the bottom of the cold juice pitcher.
- Strain the final mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a chilled glass to remove any lingering foam. Look for a vibrant, translucent green glow.
- Serve immediately over exactly three large ice cubes to maintain the chill without over diluting.
