Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs chicken thighs, drumsticks, or leg quarters
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken completely dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy crust.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a wire cooling rack over a rimmed baking sheet.
  4. Arrange chicken pieces on the rack, leaving space between them for airflow.
  5. Bake for 20–30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 150°F (65°C) for breasts or 165°F (74°C) for thighs and legs.
  6. Whisk together the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
  7. Generously brush the glaze over the top and sides of the roasted chicken.
  8. Return to the oven or switch to Broil for 2-3 minutes until the glaze is tacky and slightly charred.
