- 3 oz 100% Pomegranate Juice (unsweetened)
- 5 oz Premium Orange Liqueur (e.g., Cointreau)
- 5 – 1 oz Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice (as needed)
- 2 Lime Wheel/Wedge (for garnish)
- 1 tsp Pomegranate Arils (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Rim: Spread the salt (or a salt/sugar mix) onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses until moistened, then dip the rim lightly into the salt mixture to coat only the outside edge. Set aside.
- Combine Ingredients: Pour the Tequila Blanco, freshly squeezed lime juice, pomegranate juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.
- Optional Adjustment: Stir a tiny sample to taste and adjust the simple syrup volume if the cocktail is too tart, based on the specific pomegranate juice used.
- Add Ice and Shake: Fill the shaker 3/4 full with fresh, hard ice cubes. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds to properly chill and aerate the mixture, which is critical for texture.
- Serve and Garnish: Add fresh ice to the prepared rimmed glasses (or serve 'up' without ice). Double strain the mixture into the glasses. Garnish each drink with a lime wheel/wedge and a sprinkling of vibrant pomegranate arils. Serve immediately.
