Ingredients:
- 2 lbs fresh peaches, sliced into 1-inch wedges
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
- Slice the peaches into uniform wedges and pat the slices dry with a paper towel to ensure they sear rather than steam.
- Place a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and brown sugar, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes until the butter has browned and the sugar dissolves into a bubbling syrup.
- Spread the peach wedges in a single layer in the skillet. Let them sit undisturbed for 3-4 minutes to develop a mahogany-colored crust, then gently flip and cook for another 3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract, tossing the peaches for 30 seconds to coat in the glaze.
- Immediately scoop a ball of vanilla ice cream into a bowl and spoon the sizzling peaches and syrup directly over the top.
