Ingredients:
- 170g unsalted butter, melted
- 180g high-quality white chocolate chips
- 150g light brown sugar, packed
- 50g granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
- 190g all-purpose flour
- 0.5 tsp fine sea salt
- 10 large fresh strawberries
- 50g white chocolate, melted (for drizzle)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a square pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Whisk the 170g melted butter with both sugars in a large bowl until the mixture looks glossy and smooth.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla bean paste.
- Stir in the 180g white chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed through the sugary base.
- Gently fold in the 190g flour and 0.5 tsp salt.
- Spread the batter into your prepared tin and smooth the top with a spatula until it reaches every corner evenly.
- Slice your 10 strawberries vertically, then cut a small V into the top of each slice to create a heart shape.
- Press the strawberry slices gently into the top of the batter in a 4x4 grid.
- Place in the oven for 25 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Let cool completely, then drizzle with 50g melted white chocolate until the pattern looks whimsically messy.
