Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 tbsp light agave nectar
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 cup chilled sparkling mineral water
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
- 1/2 tsp lime zest
- 2 fresh strawberry slices for garnish
- 2 lime wheels for garnish
Instructions:
- Combine coarse sea salt and lime zest on a small saucer and mix well.
- Moisten the rims of two margarita glasses with a lime wedge, then press the rims into the salt-zest mixture.
- In a blender or cocktail shaker, combine the strawberries, agave nectar, and vanilla extract. Macerate the fruit by allowing it to sit for a few minutes or muddling thoroughly.
- Add the fresh lime juice and crushed ice to the strawberry base. Blend for a frozen style or shake vigorously for a rocks style.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses and top with chilled sparkling mineral water.
- Garnish each glass with a strawberry slice and a lime wheel.
