Ingredients:
- 12 cups air-popped popcorn
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 drops purple gel food coloring
- 2 drops royal blue gel food coloring
- 1/4 cup star-shaped sprinkles
- 1/2 cup blue and purple candy-coated chocolates
- 1 tsp edible silver glitter
Instructions:
- Toss the popped popcorn with melted butter in a large bowl until evenly coated, then spread across a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent clumping.
- Combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches a gentle simmer and the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove the syrup from heat and quickly swirl in the blue and purple gel food colorings using a light motion to create a marbled effect.
- Drizzle the hot glaze over the popcorn and gently fold with a spatula to coat the kernels.
- While the glaze is still tacky, immediately add the star-shaped sprinkles, candy-coated chocolates, and edible silver glitter.
- Spread the mixture back onto the parchment paper and allow it to set for 5 minutes until the coating is firm and crystalline.
