Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, firm with stems intact
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil
  • 2 oz white chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Wash strawberries under cold water. Individually dry each berry with paper towels and let them air-dry for 30 minutes until the skin feels completely matte and bone dry.
  2. In a microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until mostly melted with a few small lumps remaining. Stir until the remaining pieces melt from residual heat.
  3. Hold a strawberry by the green stem and pull the leaves back. Dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat up to the shoulder. Lift and shake gently to remove excess chocolate.
  4. Place the dipped berry onto parchment paper. Repeat with remaining berries.
  5. Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl. Use a spoon or piping bag to drizzle over the base coating. Allow to set in a cool, dry place until a delicate pattern forms.
